Welcome! We are Bence and Kata. In July, we are going to Gulu, Uganda, where the local school has taken in about 50 orphans and South Sudanese refugee children who had to be moved from another school due to changes in the leadership and the crisis situation there. For these children, and other children from the hosting school, we will be holding a VBS style English Bible camp in the mornings. In the afternoons, one group will continue to work with the kids teaching them everyday useful things – cooking, needlework, bike/motorbike tyre repair, motor oil change -, while the other group will evangelise door-to-door in the surrounding villages. The next day we switch.
The trip is organised by the American missionary organisation International Messengers, together with missionaries working in this part of the country. The cost for the time and travel is about $1.750 per person, other costs (vaccinations, visa, malaria medicine) are about $700 for the two of us.
