Welcome! I’m Bence. So far, I have had the opportunity to travel to Uganda on three occasions for short-term mission trips. On all three trips, I served children who attend a boarding school run by a missionary from the International Messengers mission organization. Some of these children are local, some are refugees, and there are orphans among them as well.

I’m going to be a part of an American group, and we will do an VBS camp for these children every morning. In the afternoon, one group will continue working with the children, teaching them practical life skills (cooking, crafts, bicycle/motorcycle tire repair, changing motor oil), while the other group will go door-to-door evangelizing in the surrounding villages. We’ll switch roles the next day.

The trip is organized by the American mission organization called International Messengers. The cost of this trip is approximately 650,000 HUF, with other expenses (vaccinations, visa, malaria medication) amounting to an additional 100,000 Ft.
